I speak on statistics for two different rooms. One is the research room: conferences and seminars where the audience already speaks the language. The other is the applied room, as an invited resource speaker teaching methods to practitioners and students who will use them directly. A selection of both:
- Feb 2025 — Resource Speaker, AMCS-Stat School Workshop, KAUST. High-dimensional inference and imaging genetics, for top Saudi undergraduates in mathematics and statistics.
- Mar 2024 — Eastern North American Region conference, Baltimore. High-dimensional Predictive Performance Test based on the Exhaustive Nested Cross-Validation.
- Dec 2023 — IMS International Conference on Statistics and Data Science, Lisbon, Portugal. Exhaustive Nested Cross-Validation for High-dimensional Testing.
- Nov 2023 — Resource Speaker, Experimental Design Statistical Workshop, KAUST. Linear models: regression, analysis of variance, analysis of covariance.
- Nov 2022 — High-dimensional Multiple Hypothesis Testing Seminar Series for AGH, Krakow, Poland.
- Dec 2022 — IMS International Conference on Statistics and Data Science, Florence, Italy. CV-based Predictive Performance Test in Imaging Genetics.
- Aug 2022 — Joint Statistical Meetings, Washington, DC. Optimal Ridge Penalization in High-Dimensional Testing.
- May 2018 — Resource Speaker, Advanced Statistical Programming with Rcpp, US Census Bureau, Maryland.
- Mar 2019 — Keynote Speaker, Western Philippines University Research, Development and Extension Forum. Reproducibility across scientific disciplines.
The full list, going back to 2018, is on my CV.
